Solarize Uganda Now Project

The Problem?
In Uganda, access to power is expensive, dirty and inconsistent—if it’s available at all. Frequent blackouts interrupt learning, health centers are unable to keep vaccines on hand, and students with no access to power can’t study after the sun goes down.

Solar is the Solution:
Through All We Are’s program Solarize Uganda Now, energy costs go down up to 80%, student performance improves, and communities thrive.

Nathan Thomas graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and now works as an Engineering Team Lead for Leoni Wiring Systems. Nathan, was a high school student living in Findlay, USA. He desired to make an impact on an international level and considered ways he could utilize his talents and passion to help people in need. Out of this came the framework for a computer project which was supported by the Rotary Club of Findlay.
