President Marty called the meeting to order. The pledge and introductions were done by Riley Barr.

Marty brought back the old tradition of a walk about, where we greeted fellow Rotarians. He also showed a comedic take on a Friends Thanksgiving episode, involving a turkey on a guy’s head.
The club’s Rotary Foundation goals are getting closer. We have met the financial goal and are close to getting 100% of Rotarians to give something. An inspiring video highlighting The Foundation’s humanitarian aid globally was shown.
Meghan Burton, who is helping Lisa Norcia-Cheskin with the giving tree project, announced we have roughly 50 gifts given and 50 to go. The remaining tags were handed and many were taken by our generous members, which will make the season bright for those in need locally. Click here to help us spread kindness and send the message “I care” to a child, senior or homeless adult who may otherwise go without this holiday season.
The Presidents Brunch is nearly here: Dec 1, 10am at La Rinconada country club. Dress is “holiday dressy”. Perhaps President-Elect Andrew in candy cane stockings???
The First Thursday party is Dec 5 at John and Devonne Pencer’s house 5:30-7:30. Traditionally a season highlight, the house is decorated for the season and it’s not to be missed. New members encouraged! As usual, bring your beverage and a snack to share if you like.

The Star Wars premier movie night is Dec 20 at 5:45 at the Los Gatos Theater. Tickets are available on our website now. Costume contest with prize money! Tickets are$45, and this event benefits Ronald McDonald House and Lucille Packard Foundation. If unable to attend, donations are also taken. Thanks to Mike Norcia for organizing.
